I think someone just Photoshopped the divers out of that one.
clearly photoshopped in, but well done to pass first-glance test. i did something similar with a photo of my niece swimming in the ocean for the first time, found a cool shark pic and comped it in near her so you could barely see it under the water. it passed the first-glance test, but you could kind of tell if you looked at it longer.

I’m getting tired of these faked shots and the non-bombs.
Add to that the repeat comments. Some people obviously don’t read others’ comments before putting in their two cents. We end up with half of the responses exclaiming that it’s Photoshopped, on Snopes, and other sites. Some people are too lazy and self-absorbed to bother reading comments by other people. (insert rolleyes emoticon here)

Sharks don’t get that big, it would be mouth-open about to eat them, and you’d have to be mentally slow to have the shark get that close before taking the damn picture. Still shat me up at first glance.

This poster was making a sarcastic remark about how many people have said this is fake. He/she was not saying it is fake. I too am getting so fucking sick of all the idiots on here saying over and over and over again that it is fake. It is getting as old as people saying “first” as if being the first to say “fake” is some sort of fucking honor.

I’m going to be completely serious here. This isn’t fake. This photo is 2-3 years old. At the time, it was displayed on the National Geographic website, with the story that went along with it. I don’t believe it is still there.

Photo was apparently taken on the Gold Coast, Australia, at night with an underwater flash. Photographer did not see the shark due to the darkness, no one realised until the photo had been developed. The theory is that the flash scared the shark off. True story – hard to believe, but seriously true…
