I see what you did there.
anyone else notice that there is only 1 black guy in this picture? stupid fate being all racist
Time for a separate ‘Moment Of Win’ page I think…
Good photos but I come to thisisphotobomb.com to see photobombs…
Agreed. This feature sucks.
So..Like..EpicWinFtw? But..No so Epic?
I don’t get it…. Look at the shadow, maybe a photoshop fail….
You, Leeroy, are obviously not familiar with the “OMG I’m holding up the Leaning Tower of Pisa!” photograph genre. This is similar in the swords are actually giant, and in the background. They are pretending to hold them, and no ‘shooping was done.
Nah, the monument behind them is the swords, if you look closely at their hands you see that they are not holding anything, they are holding up their hands so the proportions make it seems like they are holding those swords. Like when you pinch in the air to crunch someones head.
Not even a little. Those aren’t normal sized swords. They are giant statues and they are standing close to the camera giving off a semi illusion that they are holding normal sized swords. See links in later posts by others for more info on the location.
Does anyone know where this picture was taken?
The Swords of Victory, Baghdad
i think it’s a photobomb, because the swords aren’t in their hands, but in the background.
That’s kind of the point.
What exactly are we supposed to be looking at?
Try looking at their hands.
I’m clearly missing something here.
You’re probably missing what they are really holding.
You’re clearly missing more than just what’s here.
Ah, the infamous “Holding Up the Leaning Tower of Pisa” genre of photos.
I think its good, wonder where it was taken.
This is from Iraq- one of Saddam Hussein’s many statues and monuments to himself.
Iraq.
Oops. Whoever photo shopped this forgot to add the swords to the shadow. FAIL!
Maybe you didn’t realize that the swords are actually large and in the background, and they’re not actually holding onto anything. YOU fail.
You FAIL to recognize a joke.
From the sounds of it, C-dub wasn’t joking.

AND MY AX!!
this is only a photobomb if this wasnt intended, which im pretty sure it is.
Camera angle win!
It’s the Swords of Qādisīyah in central Baghdad.
Wilfred Brimley is in the Army?
Looks more like Paul Teutul Sr. to me.
for all those who didn’t understand, simply look at the shadow on the left :
OMG TEH SW0RD HAZ NO SH4D0W !!11!
It’s a giant statue in the background, not a ‘shoop. Of course it’s not going a have a shadow connected to the soldiers’!
Oh, whoopsie! Typo! ;P
Oh, my you fail too….
OMG MABE CAUSE IT’S A MONOLITHIC MONUMENT IN THE BACKGROUND AND THE SUN’S FACING IT SO THE SHADOW WOULD BE BEHIND THE MONUMENT AND NOT IN HIS HAND WHICH IT ISN’T IN A HURR DURR DURRRRRRR. OMG TEH CAP’S AN IDIOT !!11!
Jebus! How dumb are you?!? It’s not photoshopped; it’s ment to look like that, idiot. Ever seen those leaning tower of piza tourist photos?!?
Wilford Brimley?
to those who say it’s ‘shopped, look where the shadows of the guys fall. the shadows for the swords (which are actually statues) would fall behind the swords. just like jazcat above had said, it’s one of the camera angle/person placement genre of pictures. it’s not shopped.
this explains the US invasion of Iraq…it’s for the swords, not the oil at all…
OH Purrleaze!! this ‘photo’ has nearly made me leave the newletter! If u r gonna superimpose a picture *obvious in this one* then do it properly!! Bad attempt.
after studying this photo further, I can see that its a statue/archway in the BG and these people have set themselves up to look like they are holding the swords.. its not a photobomb cuz its not an accident?!
Wow, I’m sure they’re the first people in history to pose for this photo.
the swords are in the background, there not actually holding them.
God bless those soldiers and their good woroh no they’re being useless aren’t they. Fat and useless.
These guys are not soldiers. Notice how they are wearing old style uniforms and don’t have any equipment belts or assault rifles? They are civilians that work with the soldiers, probably interpreters or reporters.
Crossing swords?
2 army guys…..2 bad ass moustaches…. crossing swords?? what has the world come to?!?!
Fat Ass National Guard. Good for f**king nothing.
