  1. jake says:

They are Maori, indigenous to New Zealand, those are faces meant to scare their enemy during war.

  2. Mallory says:

    Jake took my comment.

  3. Bibbley says:

    “what do you mean cannibals?

  4. Geisha_Girl says:

Yes, many traditional Maori dances feature these warrior-like faces, meant to scare enemies. Not a Photobomb, just Maori tribesmen posing and mugging for tourists’ cameras.

  5. Amanda says:

Why is this considered a photobomb? This is a traditional Maori greeting, ask anyone who’s been to New Zealand.

  6. jake 2.0 says:

    bloody maoris!!!!!

  7. Boba Fett says:

Boba likes how the far right one didn’t get the memo.

  8. Jahdey says:

Caption is extremely offensive. I am Maori and it is rude to call Maori people natives. These are men who have obviously either just finished doing a haka or a powhiri (welcoming)

  9. ClownEater says:

    maori war face?

  10. Senor Pizazz says:

Jake is right. Not a photobomb, more like cultural ignorance.

  11. Jamie says:

Jahdey – How do you consider the word native rude? Native means to belong or be from the orgin of your birth. So an example would be “I am a native of the United States, more specifically I am a native of Las Vegas, NV.” So these Maori men are natives of New Zealand.
Don’t be so quick to get offended.

  12. Jamie says:

And to everyone else that is offended, not everyone has had the ability to go to New Zealand, so they wouldn’t know about this. It can easily be mistaken that it was something funny the faces being made because the man on the right is not making one. So again, I don’t find this photo any more ignorant than half of these photos on here, but you know what? This is a website you come here to laugh and enjoy yourself, not be all judgemental and easily offended.

    • PsychoDad says:

Yeah well, like I said above, you don’t need to go there to know a bit about the native cannibals and their culture. But it’s still funny.l

  13. Yugan Dali says:

Cultural researchers have discovered that the origin of the haka actually lies in a blind date. Not only that, they managed to capture the expressions of the men when they saw their dates. The rest is history.

  14. Aaron Hong says:

Yes, it’s cultural and perfectly normal, but you can’t say the one on the far left isn’t overdoing it just a tad…

  15. Mark says:

yeah – don’t call Maori natives because they were just bloody imports too.

  16. Bibbley says:

Or maybe it’s just a joke retards. Everyhink of that

  17. firefly says:

i just want to know how you make your eyes pop out of your head like the guy on the left…

  18. Sarcastic Moron says:

Is the middle one Ace Ventura?!

  19. uber says:

    Ka mate! Ka mate!

    Ka mate! Ka mate!

    Ka ora! Ka ora!

    Tenei te tangata puhuru-huru

    Nana nei i tiki mai,

    Whakawhiti te ra!

    Aue upane! Aue kaupane!

    Aue upane, kaupane

    Whiti te ra!

  20. ClownEater says:

this is a photobomb. it’s happening in Mississippi.

  21. crazyhakaboy says:

hahaha what a crack up! i’m one of the performers in the pic, the ladies in front of us wanted a nice friendly photo with us “MAORI” and at the last second we pulled a pukana(eyes and tounge). its a lil inside joke we do to tourist. the pukana is an act of defiance(get fuckd), its shows your enemy what thier head will look like cut off and on the end of my spear! the ladies in front had no idea and thankd us for the nice photo. lol :-P

    • uber says:

really that’s cool, i thought the tongue thing was basicly saying “i am going to enjoy your mana,” i guess it depends on the context of it. and love the maori people i mean they make the all black one of the best if not the best rugby team in the world

    • Charelz says:

If you ask me it rather shows what your head will look like cut off and at the end of your enemy’s spear. Personally, I prefer my enemies to have no idea what hit them.

  22. Lyle says:

Murphy Brown has lost some weight.

  23. tim says:

we come from new zealand this is there pose just before they steal your wallet hahahahahha

  24. Mikey says:

Does no one read the titles over the photos? “Tourism is serious business”.

This is the standard tourist photo taken at the Polynesian Cultural Center. Seems to me that the meant photobomb is not the people with crazy expressions (since that’s their job) but one of the two (or both) that look like they are having a terrible time.

  25. Reo says:

    Haka bomb! Nice one bro!

  26. Lemora says:

Omg i live in New Zealand. Thos faces are meant to scar you.
