I’m not really proud of being Brazilian…
This is the most fake candidates since it became a republic…
Religion is destroying our democracy telling the believers not to support some candidates… What a shame…

    • Erick TG says:

      Yeah! Gotta tax religion!
Abort is got to be legal!
      Free world!

    • Willian says:

You only forgot to mention that the candidate (and let’s make clear we are speaking about Dilma, so there is no confusions) that these religious groups are opposing is well known for in old times being a communist, and for taking part on a movement that once kidnapped an american ambassador. And let’s just remember that the law know as PNDH3, that was approved by our president without reading, and take out impress freedom, among other rights of the people, had her approval. This to don’t mention the abort thing, that is considered not only by religious people, but by scientists also murderer (although there is controversy among the last group). So really, I’m ashamed for being Brazilian, but not because we don’t have a democratic process, but because even with all this, half the country still votes on her, believing she will finish poverty giving something around $250 for poor people and don’t giving them education and jobs (after all, Lula did this, and she will merely continue what he did).

      • Alenônimo says:

Be afraid. Be very afraid, Regina Duarte.

      • T. says:

Brazil has never been better, just look through statistics, do some real research and stop reading Veja and watching Globo. You dont know what you are talking about…. Yes, she has a past as an activist, and so what? Lula is the best govern we have ever had, tons of people out of poverty, we didnt even feel the american crisis! And Dilma was there since day one, and she is more than prepared to carry on all the projects our government has. No wonder he has more than 80% of people’s acceptance. And I wont even start talking about external politics… go for Serra and see all the great regional south american cooperation been washed away, go back to lick USA’s ass and being under their influence forever. About the social programs? You dont know s**t. You, like all our middle class thinks its just money for the poor, but its not, its what the state can do now, hopefully some day we wont need these programs anymore, but now, meu companheiro, we do need them, and because of them the economy kept on running during the crisis and we still have a good country.

I have written a giant reply for this, but i lost it… so pissed off i was…

Brazil has never eeever been better! Stop reading Veja and watching Globo and go look for real information, go through statistics and you will see it. Tons of people out of poverty, we almost didnt feel the crisis, we have great international relations, we are better than ever!
We are growing fast, and its not a “bad chinese growth”, its a good growth, we are improving our economy, our education, taking people out of the poverty, we are one of the greatest economies in the world. Only you middle class dont see it, you are too stuck in past and cant see what is before your own eyes!
Go for Serra and see all the improvements been washed away, go for him and see us being used by USA forever!

And before someone asks, I write in english because you wrote sh*t in english for everyone to see.
And Im not a petista or an activist, i havent even voted for Lula in the previous elections, but you cannot deny the facts, you cannot deny reality! Im just an International Relations student that has been studying the world and Brazil through good information for four years. I went for Marina in the first round, and now I go for Dilma, no more FHC and Serra in our govern.

You want to vote Serra? Have a REASON to do so. Dont just accuse the other candidate of having a past as an activist against dictatorship.

  10. marília says:

GO DILMA! let’s keep on developing our beloved country!

  11. Caio "@caioflandi" Sakamoto says:

And that’s the horrible woman that will rule our country :\

BTW, Plinio is known by his second name Arruda. Plinio Arruda.

    • Erick TG says:

Ridiculous. Horrible woman? That helped OUR BELOVED democracy to be formed again?
      That helped dictatorship to end?
You mustn’t have done NOTHING good to our country and now are talking bulls**t about the ones who did…
Go vote for Serra and help to destroy anything good that PT has done until now…

      • T. says:

        Well said.

Unfortunately, our middle classes are too narrow minded and are being controlled by the media and cant see the change before their eyes. Brazil has never been better, and I hope Dilma wins and carry on with the great projects we have.

Only because these people that comment here didnt get out of the poverty they cannot see it. Shame on you middle classes like me, shame on you. You have internet, you have access to information, you just dont look for it, you dont have personality, you dont have critical views of what you read, you just absorb media.

    • Alenônimo says:

Playboy doesn’t like when someone works for the poor? Poor boy.

Your candidate, José Serra, acts like Sarah Palin. That’s shaming.

  12. longineus says:

    Brazilians hate being brazilians.Period.

And perhaps our international friends would better understand the picture by knowing that the gentlemen with the fist is our socialist candidate.

I bet he would give everything to have the hammer and the sickle at that time…

  13. Jibble says:

Holy crap. Nice choices… thugs, villains, Marxists. Well hey! Just like America!

  14. carnifex says:

interesting face in any case….he could be from a lucky luke cartoon…

  15. Heder says:

Wasn’t it supposed to be a… COMEDY thread? :S

  16. Gabriel says:

A galera tá apavorando no “ingreis”!

      • Pac-Man says:

Bem…

For the gringos: Dilma was a bank robber/terrorist! She was involved in an american embassador heist. That will be our next president! Do not invest your money in Brazil!

      • Will says:

sorry, could you say that in english for those of us who don’t speak portuguese?

  17. Dr. Demenz says:

Brazillian polictics aside, I am the only one to notice thet the guy’s a dear ringer for Christopher Lloyd?

  18. Roberta says:

    • T. says:

Pelo jeito eles não sabem!! E não procuram saber!
E ainda ficam aqui criticando nosso país e falando merda pros gringos lerem!
